Example Nomination

Reason for Nomination:

They have worked continuously without a break and switched from Covid nurses right back to respiratory nurses without a moments hesitation for themselves. They have performed to follow our four values and behaviours as a trust while delivering respect, dignity, compassion, and inclusion in the highest of standards for our patients while at CHFT. They have not only delivered phenomenal care to our patients but they have done so with each other. They have carried each other over the last two years, ensuring that they are all in the hard times together. Their team work and care for each other is truly humbling to see. They really are the definition of hero's and deserved to be recognised as such.

How has the nominee positively impacted you, the team, the organisation or the health service?

I believe that the floor requires recognition for their hard work and dedication to not only the trust but to the profession and the deliverance of the trusts values and attitudes. The horrors they faced and the resilience they delivered throughout their time in covid is something beyond words and is something not only the trust should celebrate but the whole nursing profession. I am humbled and honoured to work along side the most dedicated, compassionate, caring healthcare workers that I have ever seen and believe they are more than worthy of receiving this award.

This team have gone beyond and above their duty not only through covid but every single day since. They aim to deliver imperative care to our patients and to flawlessly represent us as a trust. No matter how busy the ward has become the have been committed to delivering the highest standard of care possible. They have leapt from being in full PPE for 13 hours a day taking care of our most acute unwell patients straight into nursing our respiratory patients as if nothing has happened over the last two years and again, without a moments thought for themselves. They aim to deliver and represent the NHS not only on a professional level but on a personal level - taking great pride in being health care workers. The trust must be honoured to have such impeccable nursing staff.
