This person has worked in the organisation for many years but more recently has been promoted into a senior role within the division. This person is always positive, consistent and patient/team focused. They carry out their daily role and is very much an unsung hero of the division. They always get nominated to lead on new projects such the implementation of the electronic white boards as they are consistent and do the 'must do's'. Despite having lots of things to do this person always takes on the nominations without complaint and always does what is expected. The feedback from this person teams/areas is always hugely positive, even from areas that have in the past have had challenges with other senior colleague relationships. If I were a patient in this hospital I would want to be cared for in one of this persons wards.
How has the nominee positively impacted you, the team, the organisation or the health service?

There is a clear feeling of assurance from discussions with their teams and team managers that they are aware of their ongoing issues and associated actions. This is down to this persons leadership. 3. All of their area perform really well in terms of quality indicators. 4. One of their areas received the highest J20 inspection compliance for the trust to date! 5. One of their areas is labelled as the perfect ward and due to this always gets identified as an area to visit from external partners and compliance colleageus e.g. CQC.
Additional Comments/Testimonials:
When this person came into post they were given one area that had significant cultural issues. Also, there were consistent negative patient and staff feedback. This person did a deep dive of the culture on the ward (anonymous survey) that highlighted a lot of issues from team dynamics, behaviour, staff feeling unsupported and that there was an unfairness in how staff were treated in relation to things such as roster management/annual leave/ days off etc. Fast-forward to now and with the dedicated and substantial work done - the team are happy, positive and there has been a clear reduction in patient complaints/negative feedback. members of the team have fed back that they felt listened to and supported with the changes.
